Contributors of the conference can submit two types of papers:

  • regular papers,
  • short communications.

All the authors will have the option to submit extended versions (more than 30% new material) to special sections/issues of the International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science (indexed in Scopus and ISI Thomson Reuters, within the JCR list), Computational Intelligence and Neuroscience (indexed in Scopus and ISI Thomson Reuters, within the JCR list) and the Journal of Automation, Mobile Robotics & Intelligent Systems.

The submitted work should contain results that are unpublished and not included in other works considered for publication elsewhere. Thus, by submitting a paper, the author(s) warrant that neither this nor any other paper with essentially the same technical content has been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

Papers will be thoroughly reviewed with an emphasis on the potential to contribute to the body of knowledge within the subject area of this conference. Each accepted paper should be revised according to the referees’ comments and submitted in a camera-ready form together with all the source files (Word or LaTeX), the used latex styles, a response to reviewers’ comments and a signed copyright form.

All manuscripts must be prepared according to Springer’s requirements and submitted electronically in pdf format.

A paper will be included in the proceedings only if at least one author registers and submits the conference fee. This author agrees to the obligation to attend the conference and present the paper.

Regular papers

The length of the regular papers should be between 8 and 14 pages.

Regular papers will be published in the Springer’s edited book in the Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing series, distributed after the conference, while abstracts will appear in an edited volume (with an ISBN number) available during the conference. For non-European authors of regular papers the possibility of remote (Skype) presentation will be provided. Doctoral students will be also able to present their results during a special doctoral session.

Short communications

Short communications may present works in progress or ideas for possible exploration. These provide the opportunity to open discussions, find collaborators and receive input on new ideas.

The length of the short communications should be between 4 and 14 pages.

Short communications will be published in an edited volume with an ISBN number.

Authors of short communications are entitled to a decreased registration fee (20% of the full fee). Such a does not include participation in social events and does not entitle the participant to free accomodation. Scheduling of such presentations may be arranged in such a manner as to conveniently enable one-day visits. For non-European authors of short papers the possibility of remote (Skype) presentation will be provided. Doctoral students will be also able to present their results during a special doctoral session.

Important note

Contributors of the 3rd Conference on Information Technology, Systems Research and Computational Physics conference can also participate and publish one paper in the 6th International Symposium CompIMAGE’18: Computational Modeling of Objects Presented in Images Fundamentals, Methods and Applications, providing that these papers are different and compatible with the subjects of the conferences. The proceedings of this conference will appear in the Springer’s Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. The possible publication of extended versions in subject journals is also offered.
